Shopping, dining, and entertainment are 1 block away on Duval Street, where bar hoppers do the "Duval Crawl" from place to place every night.

    Amenity highlights: Within the hotel's central garden are a 36-by-12-foot pool and two private outdoor showers. A second-story sundeck has padded lounge chairs. A complimentary Continental breakfast buffet is served in a breezeway furnished with couches and chairs. An adjacent waterfall plunges into a pool and flows through a mini tropical rain forest. Complimentary wine and cheese is served every evening on little granite-top tables shaded by a gumbo limbo tree.

    Insider tip: Duval Street is busy and crowded with cars. For a daily fee, the hotel provides parking in a lot 1 block away, but guests can park for free on Key West side streets (not including Simonton Street, on which the hotel is located). Spaces are usually available within a block or two of the hotel.
